Gull Control
Gulls, along with a variety of other related sea birds, can be found almost anywhere where a large body of water is present. There are a total of 45 species of seagulls worldwide. Some twenty of those are full time residents in North America, while a few others visit each year. Gulls are an absolute nuisance wherever they're found. Examples:
- Gulls can make a huge mess. They are often found in dump sites or hanging around dumpsters or trash cans. They are big enough and strong enough to scatter large amounts of garbage over a large area quickly.
- Like pigeons, an accumulation of gull feces can cause all sorts of problems. Structural damages are common where gulls are present. Their feces clogs up rain gutters and roof drainage systems and will damage almost any surface.
- Gull feces will also damage boats, streetlights, vehicles, business signage, etc.
- Gull feces can also pose a health risk to people and their pets. As the feces dries it becomes airborne and is constantly introduced into the air in and around homes and businesses.
- Luckily gulls don't procreate nearly as quickly as pigeons. In time, though, population increases will occur and so will increases in damages and the messes they make.
