Grackle Control

Grackle control is not something that most folks know how to handle. Luckily we have 50+ years in the bird control industry, so we do. Grackles are boisterous, obnoxious, noisy pest birds that can be a bit aggressive - especially when there's food around. Here are some things you should know about grackles:

  • Grackles are related to blackbirds, cowbirds and orioles.
  • There are several species of grackles and they tend to colonize in large flocks, which can make grackle control more important - and more tricky.
  • Grackles are basically scavenger birds who will take advantage of any opportunity for a free meal. They are common around trash cans, dump site, food courts and just about anywhere else where human food may be available.
  • Of course, where ever they are - they are defecating. This can result in an unsanitary situation for humans - especially in an area where we eat.
  • As with all pest birds, their feces is extremely acidic and will damage most any surface.
  • Grackles are also a agricultural pest. They will damage a farmers crops very quickly and love young seedlings.
